“Astrid Lindgren’s Diaries”
ACCOMMODATION + TICKETS FOR A READING/CONCERT
Look forward to an inspiring evening of literature and music as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, including bed and breakfast.
Today, Astrid Lindgren is primarily regarded as a children’s author (Pippi, Ronia). What is less well known is that she worked for the Swedish secret service during the Second World War and wrote war diaries that raise questions about xenophobia. The diaries, published in 2015, were read aloud by the renowned actress Eva Mattes. This has resulted in a reading accompanied by music, featuring texts from the diaries, passages from Pippi Longstocking, songs from exile, resistance songs, as well as lullabies and children’s songs.
Please note that the literary and musical evening ‘Astrid Lindgren's Diaries’ will be held in German.

End the day with a nice glass of wine, an aperitif or a freshly tapped beer. You can do that on Thursdays anf Fridays when we open our wine bar. Small snacks are also available.

Our delicious Backbord breakfast tempts you with muesli and jam, egg dishes and ham, cheese, croissants and rolls, fruit and juice, and fresh tomatoes with mozzarella. We source our fresh country milk directly from the local producer, the Milchhof Reitbrook. You can also look forward to smoked salmon with cream horseradish and our homemade salads. Filter coffee and tea are included. Speciality coffees are extra.
Depending on the number of guests, we serve breakfast on a tiered tray or as a buffet.
